Giving

We are building on a 140 year history of worship, mission, fellowship, and justice in Robinson, Texas

Thank you for joining in God's mission.

We don't take your generosity for granted. We work together by giving to a budget that supports our pastoral ministry, local, state, national, and global mission, our church's worship and educational ministries, and support for our facilities and operations. As a congregationally-led church, our members make all major decisions concerning money through business meetings, and approve a budget every year, while a congregationally-elected church council administers budgeted and small expenses. All expenses are subject to review of the church council monthly and the congregation yearly.

Ways to give:

In-Person

Every member of our church receives offering envelopes which they can use to mark their gifts. Each week during the Sunday service we collect an offering of cash and checks, dedicating it to God as an act of worship through singing the doxology and praying a prayer of dedication.

By Mail

Many choose to give to our church by mail, and this option may work best for you!

How is money spent at St. John?

There are several designated accounts that fund various aspects of ministry at St. John, such as the youth fund, memorial funds, and the building improvement and repair fund. We collect weekly though for the church's general fund, our main "checking account" spent pursuant to our church's budget.

For every $1 given to St. John...
